Market Analysis: |
|
Brazil is the largest country in South America with a population of over 213 million. As an important player in global trade, Brazil's major exports include agricultural products (e.g., soybeans, coffee, beef), mineral resources (e.g., iron ore, oil), and manufactured goods. The country also imports a variety of goods, such as machinery and equipment, electronics, and chemicals. Brazil's diversified economy and abundant resources make it an important player in international trade.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil, and the two countries will have an important opportunity to further deepen their win-win cooperation. China and Brazil have vast space for co-operation in many areas such as science and technology innovation, new energy vehicles and smart agriculture. As of 2023, China-Brazil bilateral trade has exceeded 100 billion US dollars for six consecutive years, and China has been Brazil's largest trading partner for 15 consecutive years. Comparing Brazil-US trade in 2023, as Brazil's second largest trading partner, Brazil's cumulative exports to the United States amounted to $36.87 billion, and imports from the United States were $37.96 billion, with Brazil's trade deficit with the United States nearly $1.1 billion. The U.S. imports from Brazil include industrial products such as semi-manufactured steel products, aircraft equipment and parts, in addition to primary products such as crude oil and coffee. During the same period, Brazil's exports to Argentina were $16.72 billion and to the European Union $46.28 billion. From this, we can clearly feel that the total volume of trade between China and Brazil is huge, not only close to the sum of trade between Brazil and the United States, Brazil and Europe, and China-Brazil trade has the potential to continue to grow, and China is an indispensable trading partner of Brazil.
